This cushion uses the honeycomb cable and it reminds me of the stream at Malham Cove that meanders and flows down from the cove through the fields where the mule sheep live. It’s the perfect stitch for the superchunky Malham Mule yarn.
Relax into the knitting and with every stitch a sense of calm will wash over you, transporting you to the tranquil Yorkshire Dales. Once you’ve finished your knitting, you’ll have a cushion that reminds you of the beautiful countryside and the fields where the sheep graze peacefully.

CONSTRUCTION
Knitted flat from the bottom up in one piece, folded and then the side seams are joined together.

TECHNIQUES USED
Cast on, knit, purl, six cable techniques, buttonholes, cast off. Optional but recommended to create the feeling of joy when joining your pieces: mattress stitch.

YARN
Four 100g hanks of Purl &Jane Yorkshire Yarn Malham Mule.

SUGGESTED KNITTING NEEDLES
8mm.
Cable needle (optional).

14 stitches and 15 rows to 10cm square over honeycomb cable pattern. I obtained this gauge with 8mm needles.
It is important to obtain gauge so do swatch and change your needle size to achieve the correct gauge if you need to.
