Got the Blue
Got the Blue is a top-down, seamless, colourblock pullover with saddle shoulders and an interesting construction.
We start the work with the shoulder saddles then the stitches of the front are picked up along the edges of the saddles and the front is worked back and forth in rows to the underarms. The front neckline is shaped with some short rows.
After the completion of the front the stitches of the back are picked up along the edges of the saddles and the back is worked back and forth in rows to the underarms where the front and the back are joined together and the body is worked in one piece to the hem.
The sleeve caps are worked as the continuations of the shoulder saddles: stitches are picked up around the armholes and the sleeve caps are worked back and forth in rows to the underarms, they are shaped with short rows as well as decreases.
After the sleeve caps are complete the sleeves are worked in the round from the underarm to the cuff.
Gauge
24 sts and 32 rows = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Stockinette Stitch knit flat (upper body and sleeve caps) with larger needle after blocking
24 sts and 32 rounds = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Stockinette Stitch knit in the round (sleeves and body) with larger needle after blocking
