Inspired by Gothic architecture, this bold and beautiful cowl makes use of pointed arches, trefoils, and quatrefoils to form a stained glass window like those found in the Gothic cathedrals of Europe.

It is worked in the round from the bottom up with simple ribbing at the top and bottom. No shaping is required, and the stranded colorwork is charted. The color-transitioning contrast color used for the stained glass makes the design look more complex than it is to create.
