Why Gothopus? Well Goths, like Octopus, are dark, mysterious and terribly misunderstood creatures :smiley:

This is a knitting pattern for a Giant Handpuppet with a hand knitted glove insert as part of the pattern. ( easier than it may sound :smiley: )

This pattern also includes HEAPS of full colour, instructional photos. So if you are printing this out, colour is best.

This will take patience.

The yarns brands here are merely suggestions. Any worsted yarn would do. The Bernat for example is a softer yarn, the Red Heart is tougher. This is where you can really play with the character of your Gothopus.

This pattern is based on two different colours though this is up to the knitter. You can just use one colour if you wish making sure you have the total yardage required in one colour as the total of the suggested two colours.

The top colour will need two skeins and the underneath will need just one.

There is a Butterfly technique when knitting the arms ( this would not be needed if you were to choose a single colour)
