This seamless coat is worked from the top down in one piece in garter stitch. Working with 3 strands of yarn and swapping one strand of one colour to a new colour you will creat the magical gradient.
Children grow very fast, but this coat “grows” with your toddler at the same time, just change the position of the buttons and “Ta-dah!” - the favourite outfit fits perfectly again.
You don’t have to be an expert in knitting to accomplish this project.
So you need 2 shades of 4ply yarn (I knitted a few coats with dk yarn as well, the size will be a little larger), 300g of each colour. Choosing your yarn always look at the yardage, for this project you need 2640 yards (2400m).
