This chunky, unique-looking scarf is so cozy and snuggly, and at the same time an eye-catching handmade accessory. These soft and large bobbles may look complicated, but they are really simple to make. And the effect they produce is fabulous!

The pattern is written using US crochet terminology.
The pattern was fully tested and tech edited.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy. The texture of the shawl is achieved mainly through front and back loops of single crochet stitches, and the bobbles are made using (post)double crochet stitches.

YARN: #5 Chunky / Bulky; USED HERE: Hayfield Bonus Chunky Tweed, color 106 Pool, 400 m (437 yds), 4 skeins.

HOOK: 7 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE: 10.5 sts x 10 rows of sc FlO, sc BLO pattern =10 cm (4’’) before blocking.

CONSTRUCTION: The scarf is worked lengthwise, flat, in rows, in one piece without seeming.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Before blocking scarf is approximately: 22 cm / 8.7’’ wide and 172 cm / 67.7’’ long without pom poms.
