This pattern was inspired by pomegranate blossoms, when the fruit and the flower are still connected together.
“Granatum” is a Latin word for Pomegranate.

Construction: Granatum is a seamless top down sweater with a textured stranded colorwork incorporated into the circular yoke. Short rows ensure a comfortable fit. Body and sleeves are knit without any shaping.

Materials

Yarn

MC: for the sample I used Vivchari Semi Wool (50% wool / 50% acrylic), knits up as a DK weight.
Color: light gray.
This is a Ukrainian yarn brand and isn’t easy to find outside Ukraine.
Please feel free to use any DK weight yarn available to you. With the given gauge, some thinner Worsted weight yarns might work as well. Please swatch in the round with your yarn choice to determine if it would work for this pattern.

Estimated amounts of DK weight yarn needed: (602, 657, 744)(821, 875, 963)(1039, 1094, 1203) yards / (550, 600, 680)(750, 800, 880)(950, 1000, 1100) meters.

CC: handspun Worsted weight. Please use the estimated yardage to determine how much of any Worsted weight yarn of your choice you’d need.

Estimated amounts of Worsted weight yarn needed: (137, 148, 165)(175, 192, 208)(225, 236, 247) yards / (125, 135, 150)(160, 175, 190)(205, 215, 225) meters.
