The Granite Bay Beanie is crocheted using worsted weight yarn and a size J crochet hook. The beanie is topped with a DIY fur pompom made from faux fur purchased at your local fabric or craft store. Directions are given for making the pompom.

The finished slouchy beanie measures approximately 9 inches from the top of the hat to the edge. The hat should fit a head circumference between 18” and 23”. A soft, light-weight worsted yarn like Lion Brand Heartland or Caron Simply Soft works best for this hat.

Materials:
Size J - 6mm Crochet Hook
Worsted weight (size 4) yarn, one skein Lion Brand Heartland in Granite Canyon
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
¼-yard faux fur fabric (you will have plenty left over to make more pompoms)
Tapestry needle with sharp point for hand-sewing faux fur
Scissors
Craft knife (optional)
