A granny square-style Christmas tree which can be used for making retro or vintage baubles, hanging ornaments, garlands, wreaths and other decorations. It is perfect for using up yarn left over from other projects.

The tree is worked in the round and is approximately 11cm (4.5 inches) tall.

This pattern has instructions written in American terms and British terms and also includes a chart.

You will need:

· Cascade 220 yarn, approximately 16m per tree, in 10 colours including Brown (8686) for the trunk.
· 4mm (G) crochet hook.
· A tapestry needle.

Techniques you should know:

· Magic loop.
· Crocheting in the round.
· Crocheting into chain spaces.
· Sewing in yarn ends.
· Sewing a seam using ladder or mattress stitch.
