A simple variation on the timeless Granny Square, this hexagonal version is perfect for a bottle cap coaster. In a different style to my earlier bottle cap coaster designs, this one allows the bottle cap to show through, adding contrast and a little unexpected shine! But it’s still incredibly heat resistant, and perfect for your morning coffee cup.

This coaster uses no more than 60 yards of thread, and with a 1.5 mm hook and only 5 rows per cap cover, it works up very quickly.
