The adult version of my Toddler Hooded Scarf with only 1 hood option. I used DK yarn and a 5mm hook, adjustments can be made for a thicker yarn and larger hook, but a decrease in rows may be desired.

I used 3.5 King Cole Riot Skeins for mine, but depending on the yardage of the skeins, your usage may be more or less.
