This baby blanket features alternating linen stitch and granny stitch bands in a square progressing out diagonally from the starting corner.

Any size yarn can be used to make this.

Gauge is not important for this blanket.

Use the size hook that is recommended for your selected yarn. Here are some suggestions:
-Fingering weight: E hook
-Sport weight: F or G hook
-DK weight: G or H hook
-Worsted weight: I, J, or K hook
-Bulky weight: K or L hook
-Super bulky weight: M, N, or larger hook

The example blanket uses Bernat Baby Sport yarn (it is actually DK, not sport) and a G hook. It is ~34” square and used just over one skein of yarn (~1280 yds).
