Granny Square
A free version is also available.
This is a pattern for a granny square blanket. This square pattern was one of many squares that different creators have done. This specific square is the one I (BohoBlueDaisies) created. A blanket can be worked up very easily and quickly by creating 15 of these squares and joining them together in your favorite way. The individual square is 10”x10” and with 15 put together in a 3x5 would make the squares together a 30”x50” sized blanket.
The pattern is crocheted in the round and starts with a magic circle. Each row is different and is relatively easy to accomplish.
You need to know how to crochet in the round, start with a magic circle, chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch.
Here are the materials you need:
Your favorite worsted weight (size 4) yarn (Lion Brand’s Pound of Love in Claret, pictured, 2 skeins; 1,020yds each)
6.00 mm crochet hook
tension/gauge:
11 dc sts x 7 rows = 4”x4”
