This is a crochet pattern for my Granny Square Christmas Stocking. It’s easy to follow instructions appropriate for even beginners of crochet, written in English using American crochet terminology. The stocking pictured measures 16” high and 6” across the top, but can be easily adjusted up or down by adding or subtracting rows from your granny squares.

Inspired by my childhood stocking, it’s really made from all squares, no special shapes. Instructions on how to make a traditional granny square included, but can be made from any type of square. Let your creative spirit go wild!
