This is a very easy pattern intended for absolute beginners. Granny squares are a staple in the world of crochet, and I wanted to make something simple but practical to have as a first-time project. It works up to about a 3 gallon mesh bag, but could be easily adapted to be wider or longer.

This pattern is made to be constructed with ~160 yds of any Aran weight yarn using a 6mm hook, and it is written in US terminology.

The tutorial photos show a bag made with three different colors:
Caron Simply Soft Paints in “Oceana” (~45 yds)
Lionbrand Heartland in “King’s Canyon” (~53 yds)
Red Heart Super Saver Solids in “Aran” (~60 yds)
