Granny squares are back and what better way to showcase your own personal color palette than this epic statement piece of a Granny Square Scarf!

Although a specific yarn is recommended, this pattern is very customizable and can be seen as a true “stash-buster.” Any worsted or aran yarn with a US H-8 (5.00mm) crochet hook will work up a scarf with similar dimensions. At least 12 squares in length is recommended for a scarf long enough to wrap around the neck 1-2 times, but up to 16 can be used for more length and wraps. This pattern will go over how to create a basic granny square and will continue to drill those techniques as 12 squares are needed. This pattern also covers techniques like the magic circle color changes, and weaving in ends. All squares are sewn together using a mattress stitch and the entire piece will receive two rounds of border stitch. Tassels can be added to each end with any left over yardage.
