Looking for a great project to tote along on vacation? One that will use up some of the stash in your yarn collection?

If you knit or crochet as much as I do, you most likely have a stash of yarn left over from other projects. Here’s a great project to use up some of those scraps. I used 12 different colors of yarn I had in my stash along with newly purchased yarns, a mixture of solids and variegated. I bought the main color - antique white - to finish off the project. This is an inexpensive way to create a lasting addition to your home or to gift to that someone special.

Using the traditional granny square as the foundation, this afghan pattern also teaches you how to join the squares as you go with the slip stitch method. The pattern walks you through all of the steps from start to finish with helpful pictures and charts.
