This is a fun, quick little project that works up in a couple hours. While it is certainly not the first cowl pattern based on the granny stitch, it is my version in my style.

Crocheted in rounds from the bottom up, stripes of granny stitches form a long tube which you can leave scrunched around your neck or pull up to keep your ears and nose warm (added bonus: the holes make breathing with a warm fabric over your face much easier!). Cowl is topped with a pretty, face-framing trim that adds a touch of elegance.
