Granny's Christmas Card Box by Robyne Melia

Granny's Christmas Card Box

This pattern is available for free.

Inspired by a box my Granny made using Christmas Cards, Crochet Cotton, Lace and plastic shirt boxes, I have made this Christmas box for my new daughter in law. Granny did this in Stroke Re-Hab and was not very crafty. Not in the arts and crafts sense of the word, just the other kind of crafty!
The pictures I have used are from the vast and amazing archives of pillpat (agence eureka), namely the Jeu des portaits 1934 collection, with a little tweaking and some cut outs. But use anything! So long as it’s strong enough. I used a bit of pizza box inside the lid!

Go HERE to find a previous tutorial and HERE to see all of my card boxes.

This version uses a crazy pure nylon knitting ribbon you can find via Mr Google, but you can use anything (check out my otheries).

It is 30cm wide x about 15cm high. You’ll need 2 images (back and front) for each panel + 2 of plastic. More instructions over at the tutorial.

Give it a go! They’re fun!
