I’ve been looking for an easy sock pattern to knit while out in the wild. The requirements were: stress free, no heel worries, light weight and easy to memorize. So I set out to design my own.

Granola Crunchers is a pattern for all you die hard sock knitters that can’t leave the knitting at home. I even knit this while backpacking this summer and loved it!

The pattern is really designed to show off variegated yarn, thus the stockinette design.

The pattern is written for women, sizes small to large; but I have also included charts for finding the size for your child, husband or pen pal friend that you only know the approximate size of.

Happy knitting!

Erratta: on the heel you will cast off when you have 16 sts total (8 per needle)
