Grass and Stone
This pattern is available for free with purchase of the required yarn at your LYS or at shibuiknits
Simple geometric texture combines with bias shaping for a soft, light, elegant scarf. Subtle part-row stripes of single and doubled yarn at each end provide just the right finishing touch. To make this scarf, you will need to know how to knit, purl, increase, decrease, and slip stitches.

ABOUT THE YARNS
Shibui Knits Reed is a light fingering weight, 100% linen yarn with a chainette construction—essentially a very fine knitted tube—and a matte appearance. The high quality linen and the fineness of the chainette make Reed surprisingly soft and supple, especially for a linen yarn. Reed adds drape and a little bit of lustre to the fabric.
Shibui Pebble is a tweedy, 2-ply, light fingering weight silk/merino/cashmere blend with a soft hand and a little memory. Holding both yarns together gives a soft, light fabric that feels slightly cottony and has a wonderful drape.
This design could work well with a variety of laceweight yarns: a combination of Cima and Pebble, for instance would give a deliciously soft, light, yet warm autumn scarf. You would need approximately 580 (726) yds/530 (664) m of the Pebble substitute and 455 (568) yds/416 (519) m of the Reed substitute.
