Quiet, coffee, comfy couch, colors of pink and gold mingling with blue through the window, knitting in hand, and a new day to journey through are all reasons to be grateful in the morning. The simple pattern for Grateful Morning Socks developed over several early morning knitting sessions. I enjoyed those cozy moments of creating while the house was quiet and the sky was blooming with color.

The Grateful Morning Socks is a simple knit, purl, and twisted stitch DK weight sock pattern with a round toe. The heel is a blend of a slipped stitch heel with the same twisted stitch pattern from the front of the sock. Written for the magic loop method, the Grateful Morning Socks will knit up easily using other sock knitting techniques, such as double-pointed or small circumference circular needles.

The yarn used in the sample pictures is Artistic Lily Awesome DK in the color Pinkmaiden. Any DK weight yarns or finger weight yarns held together, preferably wool and nylon blends, will work great with this pattern.
