This pattern is part of the Main & Mini Sock Series, a collection of patterns that uses a full skein and mini skein “Sock Set” in ways that are more creative than just contrasting heels & toes. The intent of this pattern was to explore the 3D leaf stitch, but to have the leaf shapes fall diagonally so that they look like they are making a slow drift downward on the air.

The leaf stitch is explained in writing, shown with a photo tutorial in the pattern, and demonstrated in a video linked in the pattern.
