Grazioso
An indication of expression and tempo in music, Grazioso is a directive to play smoothly. elegantly and gracefully. This lace scarf, wrap or stole with its flowing linear stitch pattern and structure is knit in one piece using a provisional cast on and is uniquely framed by picots on all sides. A deceptively easy knit, this pattern would make a great travel project for experienced knitters and a good lace project for adventurous beginners!
charted pattern with written support
Difficulty: Despite its appearance this pattern is deceptively easy to knit. With the exception of the linear faggoting, patterning for this scarf is on RS rows only, and it contains simple increases and decreases. Because of its elegant simplicity, Grazioso is a great knit for both experienced lace knitters and adventurous beginners.
Construction: A provisional CO is used, the body is knit in one solid piece and is finished with a picot bind off. The provisional stitches are then picked back up from the CO edge to add the picot bind off here to complete the scarf.
