Great Western Shawl
The Great Western Shawl is one of six patterns in issue six of John Arbon Textiles’ in house magazine, The Annual.
There are kits available for this pattern.
The Great Western shawl features an elegant cable that resembles the optical illusion of railway tracks criss-crossing and fading into the distance. Named after the railway line engineered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel that brings you to Devon.
Crafted in Seafarer Lace, Harvest Hues 4ply, or Appledore DK,
each yarn weight creates a fabric with a different drape and finish, depending on preference, while the fine geometric cables add a delicate touch.
Knitted mostly with the soothing rhythm of garter stitch, this
lightweight accessory is worked on the bias and effortlessly adds a subtle touch of sophistication to any outfit.
