This cowl is designed to fit closely; like a funnel against the chin, therefore a “Chunnel”. Knit in the round on a 24” circular needle, it uses 100 yds of each color for a total of 200 yds. The technique is mosaic knitting, so you are only knitting with one color at at time and slipping the other sts. Deepest appreciation to Barbara Walker and her brilliant mind.
Mosaic knitting uses a chart and the rules for doing it are on the pattern.
This design was created especially for the Northampton Wools Escape to the Cape week-end.
