If you have ever knit mittens before, you understand how frustrating getting the “left mitten/ right mitten” conundrum wrong can be. That’s why I designed these mittens to be perfectly symmetrical. You knit both mitts exactly the same! The Green Thumb Mitts are started with a 1x1 ribbed cuff in the contrast color. They transition from contrast to main color through a simple leaf motif. The thumb gusset, hand, and decreases are then worked in beautiful “Shirley Brian Yarn.” This yarn is her deconstructed fade sock yarn. It comes in two, 50g skeins that match perfectly, so you know your mittens will match. You then finish them off with a green thumb, bringing a little summer love to those cold winter days.
