The bottom section is worked first (back and forth) and turned to lie crossways. Stitches are picked up along one long side, and the back and front sections are worked, back and forth, upwards from here; cap sleeves are worked by increasing at the beginning and end of the front and back sections. The back and front sections are sewn together at the shoulders. The edging is worked, back and forth, up one front section, across the back, and down the other front.
