These leg warmers are the perfect all season accessory. Wear them around your ankle, as boot toppers, or tall. A great project for beginner knitters to pick up skills including ribbing, basic increases, and creating simple eyelets.

As written, the pattern will make a leg warmer that is 11 inches long and 4.5 inches wide at the ankle. The sample is shown on a leg measuring 9 inches around at the ankle and 14 inches around at the calf.

Yarn is Lion Brand Superwash Merino, which is a lighter DK yarn. A heavy Sport would likely make a reasonable substitute. Really, you could use any yarn, you would just need to adjust your stitch counts using the adaptations listed in the pattern to achieve the correct size.

The sample shown required one skein of yarn for both warmers. For any larger size, one additional skein should be more than enough.
