As we developed the pattern, it felt natural to incorporate one of our core inspirations, the beaver. Including it in the design is a quiet statement and a way of celebrating the kind of craftsmanship we value. Beavers are remarkable builders and natural engineers, shaping their surroundings in ways that create life and balance within entire ecosystems. Their work restores and sustains, allowing environments to grow and renew.

In many ways, this reflects knitting as thoughtful, intentional, and deeply connected to both process and purpose. We hope this piece not only becomes something you enjoy wearing, but also something that invites conversation about craft, nature, and the beauty of making something that last.

2 Strand Double Knitted Stockinette Stitch, 27 Double Knit Stitches times 33 rows on 3,5 mm/US 4 needles = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”, after Blocking.

Correct gauge is key for a good result.
