Premium crochet pattern for Grogu (Baby Yoda) – a tribute to The Mandalorian and Star Wars. Free version available on my website.
This is a detailed and photo-rich version of my Grogu (Baby Yoda) amigurumi pattern, created for fans of The Mandalorian and the wider Star Wars universe. The pattern is simple and beginner-friendly, with clear instructions and high-quality step-by-step photos.
You can find the free version of this pattern on my website, but this PDF version includes extra progress photos, printable formatting and additional tips – ideal if you prefer crocheting offline or want to support my work with a small contribution.
The PDF is 10 pages long and includes 42 step-by-step photos to help guide you through the process.
Materials & Notes
Yarn: Aran weight cotton yarn in:
Light green (body): ~12 g
Light brown (coat): ~15 g
Light beige (collar): ~18 g
Pink yarn: less than 1 g (Optional blush)
Hooks: 3 mm (body and coat), 3.5 mm (collar)
Extras: 12 mm safety eyes, stuffing (~5 g), tapestry needle, stitch markers, row counter
With the materials I used, my Grogu turned out 8 cm wide and 7 cm tall.
You can use any yarn and hook combo that works with the thickness you choose. The only thing that’ll change is the final size. Just make sure your stitches are nice and tight, without gaps. If your hook is too big, the fabric might come out too loose.
For the high collar, don’t forget to go up half a millimetre in hook size.
