The pattern is written in U.S. terms. Using a 3.5mm hook the appliques will be approx.
mouse 8.5cm high & 5cm wide without the tail
fox 12.5cm high & 13cm wide.
owl 12cm high & 12cm wide.
snake5cm high & 14cm wide.

I use stylecraft special double knit for most of my applique patterns but any double knit yarn is suitable.
Gauge is not important

they look gorgeous on a baby blanket or in a shadow box for a baby gift. It looks great on a bag or wall hanging too.
