“GRUNGE 101” Cadet Cap

I have had so much fun Designing HATS and CAPS this season and writing the patterns for them.

Although my profession demands that I dress up A LOT, I am just as comfortable in a camo jacket and combat boots heading for the nearest river or lake to camp. I live up in the mountains, so I designed this style with myself in mind and what I would wear just bumming around as I like to call it!

I love using up yarn scraps. For this one I chose earthy fall tones in green, wheat, and burgundy.

The challenge here was achieving a firm, sculptured crown and brim that will hold it’s shape, so I used two strands of worsted weight yarn
