From the Designer:

When I was asked to do a Texas themed piece, I found an opportunity to dig deeper into Texas roots and stay away from the lone star, gun toting, horseback riding image most seem to conjure when they think about my beloved state. I love a cowboy just as much as the next guy or gal, but I took this opportunity to incorporate my native American/Mexican background with the color work. However, spurs might be an interesting touch… After all, Texas really is still a part of Mexico. :)

Construction:
These leg warmers can either be worked in the round on dpns,
or worked back and forth and then seamed.

Suggested Skill Level:
Intermediate to Advanced; this pattern uses fair-isle colorwork.

Finished Measurements:
10.5” circumference and 13” long

Skeins needed:
2 skeins Soot
1 skein Sap
1 skein Sweatshirt
1 skein Homemade Jam
