A simple I-cord with a sewn loop buttonhole at one end and a button fastened on the other.

Show your support for the gun violence awareness movement with this simple wristlet. Make them for yourself, sell them as a fundraiser for your local gun violence awareness group.

I used DMC #3 Perle Cotton Color #946 on US 3 dpns
I got my metal peace sign button here.

Instructions:
Cast on 4 stitches using long tail cast on leaving a long enough tail to secure button at the end when finished knitting. Do not turn.
Slide your stitches to the opposite end of your dpn carrying the yarn behind. Knit and repeat. Every once in a while pull the developing cord to make the stitches firm and even. Knit until it is as long as you like (for as many wraps on your wrist as you like). My example is 18” long.

Here is a link showing how to knit an I-cord.

Cast off and leave enough yarn to make a self-loop about 1/2” and secure. Run tail through tube and clip. It will disappear within the tube. Use the beginning tail to secure your button 1/2” down the tube. Run your remaining thread through tube and clip tail as you did for self-loop.

Wear proudly!
