Haara is a practical top-down hat designed for making the most of a limited amount of yarn. The 6 x 1 rib creates a reversible fabric with subtle contrast, while the folded brim adds versatility and the crown increases echo the meaning of “haara” — “branch” or “fork” in Finnish.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Fleck by Woolfolk (90% Ovis 21 Ultimate Merino® wool, 10% Donegal wool, 160 yds / 145 m – 50 g), in the colourway F14.

Brim folded once: 175 (200, 220) yds / 160 (180, 200) m.

CONSTRUCTION
The hat is worked from crown to brim in the round in 6 x 1 Rib. Two options are included for the brim: either folded once or twice. Feel free to customise this length depending on the quantity of yarn available or your preferred style but be aware that this will affect the yardage required.
