This fingering weight cardigan is the perfect fall and spring layering piece.  Sporty enough to throw on after yoga, but sophisticated enough for work.  Small lace details around the neck and shoulders and optional thumb holes or folded cuffs complete the look.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

Finished Measurements: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62)“

Notes on Sizing: This cardigan is designed to sit slightly open at the front. You should be able to just pull it closed at the waist, but it’s designed to naturally hang open and thus, the finished measurement of the garment will be slightly smaller than your chest measurement even though the garment is not meant to have negative ease.
Choose your size based on which size is equal to or slightly bigger than your own bust measurement. I.e. someone with a 31” bust and a 34” bust should both knit a size 2.

Needles: US 5 32” circular needle and US 5 and US 6 in your preferred method of knitting a small circumference – or size needed to obtain gauge. The larger size is for the sleeves, once you join in the round, as many people find that their gauge gets tighter knitting in a small circumference. If you don’t find this to be true in your knitting, you may opt to stay with the size 5 through the sleeve and then switch to a US 4 for the ribbing. You may also want a 47” or 60” US 5 needle for the body ribbing.

Yarn: Sweet Georgia Yarns Tough Love Sock 425yds/100 g

Approx. 950 (1050, 1200, 1350, 1500, 1650, 1800, 1950, 2100) yds fingering weight yarn for standard length with thumb hole cuffs.

Gauge: 5 sts and 6.5 rows =1” in stockinette stitch.
