Hail Spot is a sleeveless, vintage-styled, yoked baby dress that can be worn alone or as a pinafore. It features a faux under-layer of contrasting lace, a welt on the hem and purl stitches scattered around to give the effect of hail spots.

Hail Spot is a seamless knit worked from the bottom up.

The pattern is for use with fingering weight yarn and is in five sizes, from birth to 2 years (0 - 3, 3 – 6, 6 – 12, 12 – 18 months and 18 months to 2 years). The pattern is fully written out, with an optional chart provided for the lace edging. Detailed instructions and a schematic diagram are included and all measurements are given in both metric and imperial.
