• DESCRIPTION: This pattern teaches you how to crochet the half double crochet (hdc) and use it to make a beautiful and useful washcloth or dishcloth. You will need roughly 150 yards of cotton or cotton blend yarn to make one washcloth so this is a great stashbuster if you have a lot of cotton yarn and no idea what to make.

• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge isn’t important. Simply play around with hook size until you find one that makes a fabric you like. I wanted one that had fairly good drape and wasn’t too stiff. If you plan to use this for cleaning you may want a stiffer fabric, you may want to go down a hook size or two. You can easily adjust the size to suit your preference. There is no multiple so simply chain the length you want then chain two more.

• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:

ch = chain

yo = yarn over

HDC = half couble crochet
