Hallanvaara Shawlette will be published in Mid October 2026!

This triangular shawlette is worked from one tip to another. Its width is increased with shaping towards the centre, after which it is gradually decreased to form the second point. The size of the shawlette is easy to adjust: if desired, you can add or omit rows before beginning the decreases at the centre, allowing you to make the shawl just the right size for the amount of yarn you have available.

The textured pattern is formed by two alternating cable motifs that flow across the fabric, creating a lively yet serene surface that invites both the eye and the touch. Fingering-weight wool held together with a strand of fine mohair creates a fabric that is light, airy and soft, while allowing the cables to stand out beautifully.

Designed for everyday wear, this shawlette is a simple way to add a touch of beauty to the ordinary. Its generous size makes it perfect for wrapping around your neck or draping over your head on chilly days, yet it is still easy to fold and slip into a bag. The timeless design is also highly adaptable, with the size easily adjusted to suit the amount of yarn available.

The shawlette combines classic cables with a modern, clean silhouette. With a simple shape that lets the texture take centre stage, the result is a calm and enduring accessory—one that brings joy to both the knitter and the wearer, year after year.
