Halloween Bats!

This Halloween, why not knit up a bunch of spooky
bats to add to your holiday decorations!

Pattern is written in English and includes 4 pages of full instructions; a list of supplies and techniques required and abbreviations.

Yarn:

  • Small amount of #3 light weight: Colour of choice for body & feet
  • Small amount of Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle: Colour of choice for wings & ears
  • Scraps for face embroidery For the non-sparkly version, use the #3 light weight yarn for the body, feet, wings & ears.

Samples are knit in Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle, & Patons Astra

Needles: Two 3.00mm

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Skills required:

Abbreviations:
St - Stitch
K - Knit
P - Purl
K2tog - Knit 2 sts together
P2tog - Purl 2 sts together
St st - Stocking Stitch
Sl1 K1 psso - Slip 1 st, K1 st, pass the slipped st over the Knit st
Sl1 K2tog psso - Slip 1 st, K2tog, pass the slipped st over the st created by knitting 2 together
Pfb - Increase 1 st by purling into the front & back of it
Kfb - Increase 1 st by knitting into the front & back of it
