Well, It’s officially October! You know what that means, right? It’s all ghosts, ghouls, and goblins for the next 31 days!

In honor of the holiday spirit I decided to create this gorgeous Ghost motif that can be easily made into a tote bag or a decorative pillow!

This free pattern is for the motif only. The sister pattern and the tote bag pattern are available for purchase at Etsy.com/shop/madebyhanako

Created by using one of my favorite crochet techniques, intarsia crochet, these gorgeous motifs are as fun to make as they are fun to look at! If you’re new to Intarsia crocheting, the technique is basically working with multiple yarn colors at alternating times during the project. It’s considered ‘Intermediate’ crocheting, but it’s truly not difficult to learn. For this pattern specifically, you’ll simply be Single Crocheting with alternating yarn colors. If learning how to do the Intarsia Crochet Technique is something you’re interested in, I highly recommend heading over to MyCrochetery and reading her post about it. That’s where I learned, I found it to be a simple and effective teaching method! Yarn recommendation:

This pattern was created using a medium weight yarn. I use Red Heart’s Super Saver, a .5 lb skein should be enough for the solid color of the tote bag. You will need 2 different colors of yarn for this pattern.

Difficulty- Intermediate – maker should be comfortable with intarsia crochet basics
