Looking for a Halloween candy pattern? This spiral lollipop is another colourful decoration for your halloween table. Change the colours, and it will transform into a yummy lolly for any festive occasion: birthday party, funfair decor, or kids crochet candy store. This pattern is more advanced with frequent colour changes, but I’ve made a video of the first few rounds. A good challenge for intermediate crocheters!

• Final size (with indicated yarn and gauge): the lolly diameter is 10,5cm (4,1”) and the stick 16,5cm (6,5”) (the upper part is hidden inside the lolly)
• Level: advanced
• Stitches and techniques: single crochet, increase, magic ring, colour change in the round
• US crochet notations
• Language: English
• Illustrated step-by-step photos and video for the colour change.

• 3.5mm / US E-4 crochet hook
• Yarn: #3 / DK / light worsted yarn, 8ply, 80% cotton 20% Milk Fiber, in orange, black and light beige (I use a local shop yarn)
• Fiberfill
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker(s) (or a piece of thread to mark your round beginning)
• Optional: a wooden stick of 5 mm diameter and 13.5 cm length (you can use a longer one and saw it to the right length with a bread knife). 5mm diameter is approximately the size of a wooden disposable chopstick, if you have some in your kitchen drawers.
