You can also make a regular hippo with this pattern if you wish, simply ignore colour change instructions for arms and body and don’t bother with accessories.

You will need worsted weight yarn in grey and 5 other colours of your choice. Plus 3.5 mm and 5 mm hooks, a yarn needle, 8 mm safety eyes, and stuffing.
