DESCRIPTION
The shawl is worked in Circle brioche pattern on needles larger than normally used for the yarn in question. This creates an airy and light textile feeling.
You don’t need to work a swatch. Exact gauge is not critical in a shawl. But it will affect the size of the finished shawl and amount of yarn needed. CO in the first silk minnie skein. When this silk skein is running out, begin the second minnie skein no matter where you are in the pattern. Work the pattern back and forth with a simple edge stitch.

The Circle brioche pattern is, Hands Down, a simple brioche pattern that you will become familiar with in no time.

YarnA, Color A (Col A) Lyric, from Hesselstrik 100% mulberry silk. 80m/20g
Yarn used Col A 2 (3) 4 minnie skeins of 20 gram each in three different colors.
YarnB, Color B (Col B) Pure Comedy, from Hesselstrik 70% silk, 30% ekstra fine merino. 400m/100g
Yarn used Col B 50 (100) 140 grams

Needles
4.0mm (US 6) circular needles, 60cm/24”.
6.0mm (US 10) circular needles, 60cm/24”.
Gauge Circle brioche on 6.0mm (US 10) 15sts x 20 rounds = 10 cm / 4x4”
Exact gauge is not critical in a shawl. But it will affect the size of the finished shawl and amount of yarn
needed.
