This pattern was available free at String Theory Yarn Company in Glen Ellyn, IL, during the 2012 Chicago Yarn Crawl (Aug 4-11, 2012).

These mittens have been designed to be easy enough for a beginner, with an unusual construction that makes them interesting enough for a more advanced knitter! Take a look at the cuff and thumb! Colorwork is optional and infinitely versatile - the original design uses six 1/2 ounce mini skeins; but one 100g skein could easily be used for solid mittens. If you prefer, skip the mitten top and thumb for fingerless mitts!

Peace Fleece prides itself on using natural fibers and making the world a better place - much like the philosophy behind String Theory Yarn Company. With this similarity, the yarn choice is a perfect fit!
