A simple pattern written with handspun yarn in mind.

Three variations of the pattern are provided - A plain stockinette version, a basketweave version, and a combination of the two, to show off the yarn best. Photos are of the combo version.

Suggested yarn is a heavy worsted-bulky handspun yarn, with an approximate gauge of 3 to 3.5 sts per inch. Any yarn can be used though, with a tiny bit of math applied to add or remove pattern repeats.
