Inspired by the feather-like appearance of the striking lace border, Hane, a Japanese name meaning “feather,” is a crescent-shaped shawl knit from the top-down. Hane features a textured body designed to showcase the variegation found in many hand-dyed yarns. The shawl is finished with a wide lace border knit in a complimentary tonal shade, highlighting the delicate beauty of the lace motif. Lace instructions are provided in charted form only.

Pattern kits are available from Long Dog Yarn.
