I designed this based on Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Pie Are Square shawl shape. I wrote to Meg Swansen (Elizabeth’s daughter) and to Schoolhouse Press to see if I can sell this. I am waiting to hear if they will give me permission. If I can’t sell it, due to copyright issues, I’ve also asked them if I can make it available for free. So stay tuned.

Bamboo shawl is 22” long a the center back.

White shawl was knit in about 1100 yards of a 4ply merino sport from Wool2dye4 on a size US 6 needle.

Shawl is knit back and forth in garter stitch, as one piece from the neck down.

Pattern is charted and written out.

The bind off edge is a chain of crochet’s separated by 3 stitches single crocheted together.
