The Syndicate Hats collection is a tribute to my knitting group, Strikkesyndikatet (The Knitting Syndicate). This one is for Hanne.

When you meet Hanne in person, everything about her is bright and colorful! She loves KAPOW-like colors, and one of her favorites is a bright green. It all matches very well with her personality – she’s a no nonsense kind of woman, always radiating her good mood, cheering people up and in general being completely herself.
This hat is fully reversible. On the one side, the diamond pattern is made up of purl stitches, on the other side of knit stitches. Just as Hanne, it’s lovely whichever way you turn it!

Hanne’s hat is worked from the brim up, starting with a tubular cast on and a twisted rib brim. Working with two strands of fingering weight yarn gives a nice additional structure to the structured stitch pattern consisting of knit and purl stitches.

Yarn: Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin (80% Merino, 20% Nylon), Fingering weight, 466 meters / 510 yards per 150g, 1 skein. Colorway: “Wasabi”.
Note that two strands are held together – you can also work the hat with a DK weight yarn of approximately 211 m / 230 yards per 100g.

Needles:
3,25 mm / US 3 circulars, 40 cm / 16 inches or longer for working magic loop.
4 mm / US 6 circulars, 40 cm / 16 inches or longer for working magic loop.
